Foley footsteps on gravel/small pebbles for a beach. Walking, running, and sitting gently and hard - originally being used for an audio drama podcast. This is a completely raw recording, so have kept in 'silence' for you to clean how you prefer, depending if you're doing anything to the pitch. Recorded on a se electronics x1 large condenser mic. Feel free to use in anything. I've benefitted hugely from people's files here, so if this is helpful for anyone, that's brilliant.

I eat rice cracker and sip coffee. I tried to make as much noise as possible. This is a test recording with korg mr-1. I recorded this sound at 1bit/2. 8mhz (dsd) and converted it into 24bit/44. 1khz (pcm). If you could listen to the raw dsd file, you might think you were here with me. Unfortunately, i can't upload dsd version, so i chose 24bit pcm for keeping better quality. Reality was lost to some extent, but i think you can feel the touch of the original one.

Recording of some new year's celebrations in vienna. Captured using a clippy stereo em172 microphone and a zoom h5 handheld recorder. I positioned the microphone capsules outside the window on the left and right and then gently (almost) closed it. I setup the recorder and rolled the whole evening. This bit was around the apex of the celebrations in that part of town. Sadly some clipping occured, but i chose to upload the unaltered file. So no post-processing has been applied. Cut in ocenaudio. Enjoy!. Want to support the creation of more cc0 sounds?https://flattr. Com/profile/cabled_mess.

Recorded in june 2016 on a hudson yards-bound 7 train in the new york city subway. Towards the end of the recording, at the last stop (34th street–hudson yards), there is mta thank you announcement at the station and for all passengers to alight - i have extracted this announcement as a separate audio download on freesound if that's the sound clip you're interested in!. Recorded with a zoom h2n in 4-channel mode - this is the xy recording only (msg me if you want the raw ms recording!), without a windshield. File has not been modified.

Made this recording to share with the community. Please feel free to use it however you wish. No credit needed. Recorded what i was hearing outside my bedroom window. It's a combination of various sounds for about 33 minutes. I did normalize the track a little bit and added a low shelving eq filter. If you want the raw audio file to do your own clean up. . . Message me. There are mic bumps and movements that you'll need to take out or edit out. I hope it's may be useful for your project. The rustling sound coming from palm trees can be used for other types of trees blowing in the wind.

A technical problem i had with my technics stereo cassette desk rs-5 where playback would deliver this fading squarewave at maximum volume. Apparently, it could have been an issue with the tape header wearing out. Thought i might as well upload it here, as i'm not sure anyone will be able to create this sound again. Note, this sound was de-amplifiied by 10 db in audacity 3. 1. 3. Simply put, the raw file was incredibly loud. If you're curious enough, you can increase it back up to its original volume, though i wouldn't advise it.

It's a recording of a man operating a chainsaw in a forest near an underground repair station. I've been biking through the forest whe i heard the chainsaw, so i stopped and recorded 7 minutes of him cutting off branches, tembers and walking around a bit. You can heat the chainsaw, natural forest reverb, sometimes a plane flying by or an undergroud train. The recording was made from around 20~30 meters from the sound source. Recorded with a zoom h2 (rear mics, hi gain, 96/24). Originally a 96khz / 24-bit wav file. Converted to flac using audacity.

Blok modular set to bang on random keys/throw random parameters in various places. Sort of a kind of fm synthesis but i'm pretty sure blok can do a lot of extra things like place filters/waveshapers after the modulator but before the main oscillator. Don't want to give away much else but you can improv random textures by drawing in a waveshaper window/right-click to drag the drawing from one side to another. Also you can use the atan button to scale the notes on some sort of curve by distorting the note values. I could've added delay/reverb/eq/ ambience but i wanted it to be as dry as possible because that's personally what i look for, raw sounds that you can choose to change if you like. No edits aside from normalizing the. Wav file.

It's me jamming a bit using my epiphone's explorer (tuned to drop-d). Recorded with a zoom h2 via mic-in and a jack cable. Unprocessed an undedited recording. I tried out some licks and chords. I'm not a good guitarist. Nevetheless, this might be a nice recording if you're making an animation about learning musician, or a game with a band member rehearsing alone in a room, or if you want to just chill to my little jam session. This should be mono, but i calculated the difference between left and right channel and it is not zero. So i uploaded it as a stereo file. Could use some denoising. There is some silence at the beginning so you can do that if you need.

English spring #gm0017 is the latest free sample pack from gowler music. Recorded in the month of april in the northern english country side, this sample pack features over one hour of ambient nature sounds including bird calls, wind and the occasional airplane overhead. Rather than cutting the raw files into shorter minute-long samples, we’ve decided to leave these samples ‘as is’ to give people more creative control of the content. With only a slight eq tweak and some channel boosting, these samples have been left relatively untouched to give a more realistic, true sound. Perfect for any music producer of film maker looking for real ambient nature sound effects, english spring #gm0017 can be downloaded for free now. Https://gowlermusic. Com/free-sample-pack-english-spring-gm0017/.

This is a failed attempt at sampling a rock drumkit on 6 tracks. The channels are as follows:. 0: oh l1: oh r2: kick3: snare4: room l5: room r. I've captured this into ardour 5. 12 using 3 different audio interfaces:. Behringer umc202hd - overheads (dynamic mics)line 6 pod studio ux2 - kick and snare (condenser + dynamic)zoom h2 - room ambience (built-in xy condenser mics). This file is a 6-channel 24-bit flac file encoded using ffmpeg from the raw wav files exported from the original ardour session. There are several issues with this recording however:. 1. The tracks seem to drift, because the individual audio interface clocks were not in sync. The proper way to record multitrack audio is using a single multichannel audio interface - but i didn't have one. 2. There's either x-runs or some usb transfer issues creating small glitches and dropouts in various tracks her and there. Don't know why did this happen, as we've been tracking the real drummer's performance without these issues. Now - fixing these issues manually would be an insane amount of work, but i hope maybe someone has means to either solve them with programming a special tool, or know a tool that could fix these, and make this recorded session ready to be sliced as a drumkit for say - drumgizmo. There's some really good stuff in here - an i was able to cut and mix some really nice drum samples, that i've been using for years, but it's not ready to be fully sliced for maximum flixibility. The instrument was played by myself - it's a drumset by pearl (don't remember the details), owned by the drummer of a band i recorded this with. The band was called small hint - hence the drumkit name. We were recording an ep, and i used some free time left to capture this as well. The ep was never finished and we disbanded soon after. Regarding fixing the issues - here's what i think needs to be done:. 1. I think each hit would have to be automatically phase-aligned on all 6 channels, to correct for the drift. 2. I think it should be possible to automatically detect clicks by simply watching for a sudden change in amplitude between adjacent samples - marking bad areas and then using something like audacity's repair effect to interpolate the waveforms. I think the glitches have much steeper changes in amplitude than even the drum transients, so it should be possible to differentiate between those automatically. If you found a way to fix at least some of these problems - please let me know!. If you've made some "remixes" on freesound - i'd also love to know that. Apart from that - sample what you can out of this and make some sick drum tracks!.

Ringmodulated inversion of my speech from the file https://freesound. Org/people/kb7clx/sounds/648443/ invertedspeechcq. Wav. I took the raw recording and used goldwave's mechanize effect to translate my voice to a center frequency of 14khz. I then demodulated it first at 10. 6 and then 10. 2khz meaning that what comes out is essentially the opposite sideband, offset by 3. 4 and 3. 8khz respectively. 3khz just didn't sound as good. The first i filtered with a low pass of 2. 9khz, the second was filtered to below 3. 4khz to emulate a communications receiver passband. I am speaking upside down as described in this video. Https://www. Youtube. Com/watch?v=q_ykxzcbh-g beginning at 00:03:16. Being blind i can't see their diagram, but i've got my own by ear intuitive method, keeping in mind that oo and ee are farthest from each other, all other vowells get closer the closer they are to the middle of the human voice frequency range. I say: huhlay sue quee, sue quee, sue quee do ux. Cahlloong sue quee sue quee sue quee do ux. The ay in huhllay is like when a spanish speaker says béisbol (baseball). The a in cahlloong is like the a in cat if you're opening wide for the doctor. The oo is like the oo in book. Listen to the other file and you'll hear: hello cq cq cq dx. Calling cq cq cq dx.

This is a recording of myself sleeping, beginning ~ 1:00 am local time (~ 3hrs after going to bed) on january 10th, 2020 (which i later discovered was a full moon). I was in the midst of experimenting with recording myself all night long out of curiosity, using a laptop placed near the head of my bed. This particular recording was the only anomalous one (the rest consisting mostly of just breathing or snoring with occasional sleep-talking). This ~2 hour recording has several interesting properties, which make it hard for me to believe that these sounds were actually going on while i was sleeping. On the other hand, i don't have a memory of editing this file if i did. Either way, i find it unsettling. I found the file in oct 2021 while organizing my samples. As far as i can remember, this is the original raw recording. On further inspection, i discovered that it has some additional peculiar properties that make it even harder to believe i could have made it without remembering doing so. The audio spans almost exactly 118min (7080s). There’s a frequency sweep with a cycle-length of 6480ms that repeats throughout the entire recording. Dividing the 118min by 6. 48min (60 cycles) results in 18 parts containing exactly 60 cycles and a remainder of 12 cycles. If you think you know the source of the strange sounds or if you've ever heard anything similar, please let me know in the comments or email me at storyofthelie@protonmail. Com. I collected the most interesting bits into this pack:https://freesound. Org/people/storyofthelie/packs/33653/. Approximate times of weird stuff:. 25min - stretched cough41min - voice & sounds45min - metal hit & voice47min - call response55min - door latch1hr 3min - portal1hr 7min - more portal1hr 11min - open portal1hr 20min - echo voice1hr 23min - echo voice, tones, portal1hr 36min - stomp into breathing1hr 51min - echo voice1hr 53min - cycle tone change into crazy.

It's a 15-minute long drum improvisation. It contails a lot of different beats and rhythms played so you might cut-out some loops for your needs. The kit has:- single kick- snare- hihat- 3 toms- broken crash that sounds really short- ride. The kit was old and not in perfect condition. I also used my sticks to play on some other part of the drumkit, like metal stand for the crash etc. I also got up and stated running around in a circle hitting sticks together and afterwards hitting drums and cymbals while running around the drumkit. I took my shoes off before i started so you can't hear my footsteps. I didn't use a metronome and i know i don't hold the tempo and it's a bit wiggly sometimes. I think this performace was inspired by band mr. Bungle. I recorded this with zoom h2 handy recorder's front stereo xy mics. It was standing on a table about one meter above the floor. Facing the drumkit and me. It was captured into a 48khz/24-bit wav file, then i trimmed the ends and converted this to flac using audacity. No processing applied, though i think it sounds nicer when you put these effects:. 1. A compressor:-attack: 10ms-release: 50ms-ratio: 2. 5:1-treshold: around -24db2. A reverb:-decay: 1. 5 to 2 seconds-dry: 0db-wet: around -15 db. It amazes me how much energy compression actually adds to drums!. I made this with my podcast (http://unfamusic. Com/fnr/) in mind. I want to overdub guitars, vocals and make it one big schizophrenic song. If you're interested to hear it, leave me a comment so i can find you, or just subscribe to my podcast's rss (http://feeds. Feedburner. Com/unfa-fnr/).
